It is hard to believe we are coming up on a year since Tayler and Liam said I do at The Star Barn in Elizabethtown, PA. Their November wedding was overflowing with warmth, color, and the kind of love that fills every corner of a room! As we ease into fall again this year, it felt like the perfect time to open this gallery back up and share their day.
If you have ever thought about getting married at The Star Barn, let this be your sign. From the gazebo for the ceremony, to the downstairs cocktail hour space, to the upstairs reception hall, the whole property is one quiet, beautiful photo opportunity after another. White architecture against fall foliage. Light that pours in through tall windows. Grounds that feel like they were made for a wedding day!
Tayler planned two first looks before the ceremony, one with Liam and one with her dad and brothers, and both broke me open a little watching them unfold. There is something so sacred about those pockets of stillness before the day picks up speed… just a few quiet minutes with the people who have loved you the longest.
By 4:00 the gazebo was glowing with afternoon light and changing leaves. Tayler walked down the aisle on her dad’s arm, officiated by their friend Matt Parks, in a ceremony that felt grounded and personal from the very first line.
One of my favorite moments of the whole day was watching Tayler and Liam’s four-legged best friend walk down the aisle as part of the wedding party. If your dog is family, your wedding should feel like it! Then came their littlest ring bearer, too small to walk the aisle on his own, pulled down in a wagon. It was easily one of the sweetest moments of the day, and the kind of detail that could only belong to them.
The reception upstairs at The Star Barn had this warm, country, everybody-you-love-under-one-roof feeling from the first dance to the last. Their first dance to I’m Gonna Love You by Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood set the tone for everything that followed, and a surprise mother-daughter dance later in the evening quietly stole the whole night.
Looking back on Tayler and Liam’s Star Barn wedding almost a year later, I am reminded that fall weddings have their own kind of magic. The light. The color. The way everyone leans in a little closer when the air gets cooler. This was the kind of wedding that reminds you why you love what you do.
Happy almost one year, Tayler and Liam.
