Some weddings just have a feeling from the moment you walk in. Jon and Bridget’s summer wedding at West Shore Country Club in Camp Hill, PA was one of those days. There was this current of electric, joyful energy running through everything, from the getting ready rooms to the very last song of the night. Their village showed up in the truest sense of the word, and you could feel every single person in that room celebrating them.

Jon and Bridget were surrounded by 180 of their favorite people. A bridal party of six on each side. Best friends from every chapter of their story. Family who traveled in and immediately got to work loving on them. It was the kind of wedding where the guests were part of the story from the very first moment. The dance floor stayed packed. Nobody sat down for long.

A First Look That Set the Tone for the Whole Day

Jon and Bridget did a first look before the ceremony, and it was easily one of my favorite moments of the day. Just the two of them, standing on the grounds of West Shore Country Club, taking each other in before the rest of the day picked up speed. First looks give you this pocket of stillness in a day that is otherwise moving at full speed. Bridget’s smile the second Jon turned around said everything.

A Ceremony Grounded in Love

Their ceremony at West Shore Country Club began with Bridget walking down the aisle on her dad Eric’s arm. It felt personal and grounded from the very first line. The vows were the kind that make everyone else in the room quietly hold hands too.

Why a Live Band Changes Everything About a Wedding Reception

If you are on the fence about a live band versus a DJ for your wedding reception, let this be your sign. The Jack Faulkner Orchestra completely transformed the tone of Jon and Bridget’s reception. There is something about a live band that adds instant energy and elegance… the way the music breathes with the room, the way every guest feels pulled onto the dance floor, the way one song bleeds into the next without a single lull. They kept the room dancing all the way to 10:00. A live band does not just play music for your wedding. It sets the whole mood of the celebration.

The Details That Made This Wedding Theirs

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is finding the details that could only belong to this specific couple. Jon and Bridget nailed it. Cocktail drink flags with their names. Cocktail napkins printed with their puppy on them (yes, really, and yes, they were the sweetest thing ever). Jon’s watch, a meaningful gift from Bridget. His special socks. A Note on the Day

This was the kind of wedding that reminds you why you love what you do. The kind that leaves you walking away thinking, I really do have the best job in the world. Jon and Bridget’s West Shore Country Club wedding was a beautiful reminder of what happens when you fill a room with love, a great band, and 180 people who genuinely cannot wait to celebrate you.
