What better way to celebrate your new home than by photographing it! This Gettysburg family session was absolutely gorgeous. The Wetzel family had the most beautiful yard with a pond and gardens.
We loved roaming around their personal property and finding fun spots along the way. From feeding fish to eating blueberries (and sometimes dirt), it was so nice to have the freedom to explore.
Letting the kids wander around their home was such a joy to capture. Those in between moments are some of my favorites. A perk of doing your family session at home is the kiddos get to take breaks as they need.
Family sessions don’t need to be stressful! Let the natural moments unfold and smile through the chaos and tears – that’s how real life is afterall!
I have actually worked alongside Mattie and her twin sister at many weddings as they are wonderful florists and the owners Matching Buds. I am honored every time I get to work with them personally as well as with their dear families.
Do yourselves a favor and scroll down to the black and white portraits of these kiddos. Meltdowns are a part of every day life, so why not capture it?! For some more tips on how to make a family session authentic and enjoyable, check out my blog post about what to wear!
